Q: My rope leads fray or snap after a few months. How is this different?
A: The Heritage Line uses recycled rPET rope with a 48-strand sheath and climbing grade hardware, tested to a 1650kg breaking point. Standard leads aren't tested in the same way Sledline materials are.c Generally basic leads will be very limited in their build and strength of the material used.
Q: Wet leads are uncomfortable and start to smell. Will this one?
A: No - the rope is UV, mildew and water-resistant. The rPET rope won’t absorb odour and will hold up even in the toughest of conditions.
Q: I struggle to keep control of strong dogs. Does this give better handling?
A: Yes - the 10mm rope gives a firm grip, and the zinc die cast cord tube system allows quick adjustments on the handle for close control when you need it.
Q: I want eco-friendly gear but don’t want to compromise strength. Does this qualify?
A: Absolutely - the rope is made from recycled plastic bottles, combining sustainability with the strength required for powerful, larger dog breeds. Polyester is lightweight even when wet. Polyester ropes are highly valued thanks to their low weight, weather resistance, excellent knotability and universal range of applications.
We offer a 5 year guarantee. If anything breaks we'll fix it. This wont include for any wear and tear, as over time we expect that your lead will be put to good use. Contact us by email should any of your hardware snap or fail, and we will advise of next steps. We will inspect the lead and subject to agreement, we'll replace any hardware free of charge. Postage back to you will be free, however sending back to us should be covered by the sender.
We know waiting and uncertainty are pain points. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location, and we dispatch in‑stock. Your order may take up to 7 days to process before being shipped. You’ll receive tracking details so you can follow your parcel’s progress. If the lead isn’t right for you, return it unused within 30 days - just get in touch and we’ll liaise with you on next steps.
